• Name: Your full name, provided when submitting a quote request or contact form.
• Email address: Used to send quote confirmations, order updates, and respond to inquiries.
• VAT number / Partita IVA / Codice Fiscale: Collected for invoicing and EU VAT compliance purposes.
• Country: Used to determine applicable VAT rates and shipping eligibility.
• Uploaded files (STL/STEP): Your 3D model files are encrypted client-side before upload and used solely for slicing and quote calculation. We do not inspect file contents beyond what is necessary for processing.
• Usage data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Collected for rate limiting, security, and service improvement.

Why We Collect Your Data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Quote processing: to calculate prices, generate quotes, and communicate results.
• Invoicing: to issue invoices with correct VAT treatment and comply with Italian tax law.
• Service communication: to send order confirmations, updates, and respond to your inquiries.
• Security and abuse prevention: to enforce rate limits and protect service availability.

Legal Basis for Processing

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): You provide explicit consent via the privacy checkbox when submitting a quote request.
• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing is necessary to fulfil your quote request and any subsequent order.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Rate limiting, security monitoring, and service improvement.

Data Storage and Security

All personal data is stored on servers within the European Union. Uploaded files are encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM before transmission and remain encrypted at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention

• Quote records and associated personal data are retained for the duration necessary for business and tax compliance purposes. You may request deletion at any time, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Uploaded 3D model files are deleted within 30 days of quote completion or cancellation.
• Contact form submissions are retained for 6 months, then deleted.

Third-Party Processors

We share personal data with the following third-party processors, solely for the purposes described:

• Stripe / PayPal: Payment processing. Your payment details are handled directly by these providers and are never stored on our servers.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (quote confirmations, order updates). Only your email address and name are shared.

All third-party processors are GDPR-compliant and process data under appropriate data processing agreements.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
